Hundreds turn out for blood drive

Amanda Schocke and Ron Brown joke with each other as they donate blood to the American Red Cross on Thursday afternoon during a blood drive held at Wesley Chapel Methodist Church in New Albany. Schocke is a recent graduate of New Albany High School and Brown is a captain with the New Albany Fire Department. Hours for the blood drive were extended after an outpouring of support following the death of Floyd County Sheriff’s Department Officer Frank Denzinger.
