A Memphis couple is in custody for suspicion of manufacturing methamphetamine, police say.

At about 11:25 p.m. Friday, Indiana State Police troopers responded to an Ebenezer Church Road residence regarding a possible domestic dispute, according to a police report. When they arrived, they found items used to manufacture methamphetamine, records say.

The couple who lives at the home, Melvin Schwartz Jr., 36, and Naomi Stevens, 24, were arrested and taken to Michael L. Becher Adult Corrections Complex in Jeffersonville, according to the police report.

They are being held on suspicion of manufacturing methamphetamine, maintaining a common nuisance, possession of methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia, according to ISP.
