An attempted armed robbery at Your Community Bank in Clarksville was reported Thursday at 10:17 a.m.

The bank is located on the corner of Lewis and Clark Parkway and Green Tree Boulevard.

The Clarksville Police Department says the suspect is a white male about 5 feet 5 inches tall and between 150 and 200 pounds. He was reportedly wearing a brown shirt and blue jeans with sunglasses at the time of the attempted robbery. The man did not get away with any money.

Police are not releasing any more information at this time. A report should be available today.

There was a sign on the door Thursday morning saying the bank was closed because of an emergency. A spokeswoman for the bank said that they have no comment and are waiting for police to finish their investigation.

Anyone with information should call the Clarksville Police Department at 812-284-4636.
