A look at the results, with all 73 precincts reporting:
Democrat Dan Moore defeated incumbent Republican Judge Abe Navarro 26,686 votes, or 59.14 percent, to 18,441, or 40.86 percent.
Democratic County Commissioners candidates Les Young and Ed Meyer won seats over Republicans Jack Coffman Sr., and R. Monty Snelling, respectively.
Democrats took all three County Council At-Large seats, with Chuck Moore, Perry Smith and Kevin Vissing defeating Republicans Steve Doherty, John Durbin and Danny F. Yost.
For coroner, incumbent Democrat Edwin Huck Coots defeated Republican challenger Richard Pyke 63 percent to 37 percent.
Jeffersonville Township Assessor Vicki Conlin will not be retained. The vote to transfer her duties to the county assessors office was affirmed by a 52 percent to 48 percent margin.
In national races, incumbent Democrat Baron Hill easily won the county in the 9th Congressional District race; Republican John McCain won the county by 3,000; and Republican Mitch Daniels took 61 percent of the vote in the county. Two Republican candidates with local ties attorney general hopeful Greg Zoeller and Tony Bennett, running for state superintendent of public instruction, won the county.
