Capturing art in New Albany

Mount Tabor Elementary School first-grader Michael Bierly, 6, pokes his head around his dad, Loren Bierly’s arm, as he makes a video of his son’s art entry Tuesday night at the New Albany-Floyd County Consolidated School Corp. Administrative Service Center. There were a total of 69 works of art submitted by 13 schools from Floyd County representing first through fifth grades. Art teachers from each school picked the best two pieces of art from each class and submitted those pieces for the contest, where ribbons were awarded for each grade including a grand prize.
