A Jeffersonville man is in custody on suspicion that he tried to elude authorities on his motorcycle, police say.
Jeremy F. Andres, 34, is accused of resisting law enforcement, criminal recklessness with a vehicle and reckless driving, according to an Indiana State Police report issued Monday.
The alleged incident happened late Sunday, and began when an ISP Sellersburg Post trooper purportedly clocked Andres driving 104 mph on Interstate 65 southbound, records say.
Andres was driving the motorcycle near mile marker 11, and allegedly did not stop for the ISP trooper when the siren and lights were activated, the report says. Instead, he purportedly kept driving and traveled onto I-265, soon exiting onto Ind. 62, records say.
The trooper lost sight of the motorcycle, but it was soon located at Allison Lane and Meadowlark Drive in Jeffersonville by Jeffersonville Police Department officers, according to the report.
Andres was booked into the Michael L. Becher Adult Corrections Complex, where he awaits formal charges in connection with the reported incident.
