1) WHY ARE YOU RUNNING FOR THIS OFFICE?

“I am seeking re-election to the Office of Prosecuting Attorney. I want to continue holding offenders accountable for a safer community. In the past four years, I have aggressively prosecuted drug dealers and sexual offenders who pray upon our children. I established a habitual offender program whereby my office places priority on sending to prison those repeat offenders who have continue to commit crime time and time again. In addition, I will continue to place priority on the child support division that through the hiring of competent, well trained and hard working employees, the amount of child support collected has increased 60 percent, from $3 million to $5.25 million annually.”

2) WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT ISSUE THIS POSITION FACES AND WHAT IS YOUR PLAN TO RESOLVE IT?

“In an age and society that encourages excuses for inappropriate and sometimes illegal behavior, it is important to continue to hold offenders accountable based upon the offense.”

3) WHY DO YOU FEEL YOU BEST REPRESENT THE INTERESTS OF YOUR VOTING DISTRICT?

“I am the most experienced and qualified individual to hold the position of Floyd County Prosecutor with a proven track record.

“The prosecutor is the chief law enforcement officer in the county. It is important for the individual to have the knowledge, respect and leadership capability to lead the limited resources available to law enforcement. This includes eliminating duplication where possible and focusing multiple agencies on the most pressing problems facing law enforcement.”
