Health Department offers H1N1 Clinic for 6 months to 49 years old
The Floyd County Health Department will offer a walk-in H1N1 shot clinic for ages 6 months to 49 years of age to include those in that age range with chronic health problems and pregnant women who are not already scheduled to receive the H1N1 vaccine from their OB/GYN. The clinic will be from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday at Mount Tabor Elementary School, 800 Mount Tabor Road, New Albany.
There is no cost for the vaccine.

St. Mary of the Knobs hosts Shopping Extravaganza
St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church will host a Shopping Extravaganza from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Nov. 14 at the church, 3033 Martin Road, Floyds Knobs.
There will be 25 to 30 booths with handmade crafts and home business items and unique gifts, and a coloring contest for kids. Enjoy concessions while you shop and performances by Planet Dance, SMK choirs and the Providence Singers. A huge door prize will be given away.

19th annual Craft Bazaar at Tunnel Hill
Tunnel Hill Christian Church will host their 19th annual Craft Bazaar from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 4 and 5 at the church, 5105 Old Georgetown Road, Edwardsville.
There will be handmade crafts by local artists and church members, meals for $7 to eat-in or carry-out, homemade cookies, pies, goodies, and free spiced apple cider. McAllister’s Chiropractic Services will offer massages on Friday only.

IUS Theatre hosting auditions
The Theatre Department at Indiana University Southeast (IUS) will host auditions for its Spring 2010 productions of “The Boys Next Door” and “Vanities” from 1 to 4 p.m. Nov. 20 and 21, and from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Nov. 23 in room 069 of the Paul W. Ogle Cultural and Community Center on the IUS campus, 4201 Grant Line Road, New Albany.
Those auditioning should prepare a brief dramatic or comedic monologue.

Providence host recognition of alumni veterans
Our Lady of Providence Jr.–Sr. High School will recognize its alumni veterans during a special U.S. Veterans Appreciation program from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. Nov. 11 in the school’s Robinson Performing Arts Center, 707 Providence Way, Clarksville.
Hosted by Providence students, the program will highlight Providence alumni who have recently served in the Iraq War, and also will pay tribute to two alumni — 1992 graduate J.R. Cartrette and 1966 graduate Tom Gettelfinger — who were killed in action while serving in the armed forces.
Cartrette was one of 19 Americans killed in June 1996, when a fuel truck exploded near King Abdul Aziz Air Base in Khobar near Dhahran in Saudi Arabia.
Gettelfinger was killed when his helicopter was shot down in Vietnam in April 1971. Providence alumni veterans, their families, students, faculty, staff and administration will be in attendance.
Admission to the program is free and open to the general public.

Clarksville Parks host shopping event
The Clarksville Parks & Recreation will host an adult Christmas Shopping Trip to Prime Outlets in Jeffersonville, Ohio, leaving at 7:30 a.m. and returning at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 30 at the Clarksville Town Hall, 2000 Broadway, Clarksville.
Deadline to register is Nov. 17.
