The Floyd Central boys’ soccer team celebrated Senior Night in a huge way on Monday at home.

Junior Jordan Adams kicked in two goals to lead the Highlanders (11-2-2) past Corydon, 5-0. Teammates Max Orwick, Josh Lewis and Jacob Cline each scored a goal.

Floyd junior Zach Bratscher dished out two assists, while Orwick and Matt Kelecy each added one.

Five Highlander seniors were honored, who were Ben Todd, Daniel Neeld, Paul Crockett, Vlad Bursac and Antonio Lara.

Floyd will host Seymour in its regular-season finale tonight. If the Highlanders win, they will clinch the Hoosier Hills Conference title.

On Wednesday, the Highlanders will have a rematch with the Panthers in the first round of the New Albany Sectional.

• Bulldogs lose on Senior Day: On Saturday at Prosser Field, New Albany fell 2-1 to Jennings County on Senior Day.

Kaitlin Robinett scored the Bulldogs’ only goal. New Albany recognized four seniors — Nikki Cohn-Byrd, Jessica Moore, Lexie Blackwell and Chelsea Cotner.

The Bulldogs (12-3, 4-3 Hoosier Hills Conference) will visit Meade County, Ky., on Thursday.
