Greg Polley of Essex, Mass., has been named a semifinalist for a Siemens Foundation Award, a national science award. Polley, a senior at Manchester Essex Regional High School, earned recognition for research he did in a Cambridge, Mass., lab on developing an inexpensive device that can be used to test for HIV.
