Police arrest three women arrested on drug related charges

Indiana State Troopers at Sellersburg arrested three women, two from Scott County and one from Washington County, on drug related charges Monday.
Sheila J. Spicer, 52, Church Street, Austin was arrested and charged with one count of offenses relating to registration/prescription fraud, D felony. Patricia Newton, 47, Ind. 356 in Scottsburg, was also arrested and charged with one count of offenses relating to registration/prescription fraud, D felony. Both of these women were allegedly altering legal prescriptions they had received from a doctor and trying to get them filled at a pharmacy located in Scott County. Both of these investigations began in mid-2008.
Connie J. Norton, 43, North State Road 39, Scottsburg, (Washington County), was arrested and charged with one count of theft, D felony and one count of possession of a schedule two controlled substance, D felony. This arrest took place after troopers completed an investigation that began in December of 2008 at a pharmacy located in Scott County when the owner discovered that Norton, an employee of the pharmacy at that time, was allegedly stealing medications from the pharmacy.
All three women were arrested on issued arrest warrants from the Scott County Superior Court and incarcerated in the Scott County Jail awaiting their first court appearance.
