Restaurant planned at Jeffersonville Town Center

Family sports pub Beef ‘O’ Brady’s will open a location at Jeffersonville Town Center late this summer.

A “coming soon” sign for the location is already up at the vacant building that sits on the west side of the development. Franchisee John Davania said he and business partner Kelly Boyer hope to have the location open by mid-August at the latest.

The location will be approximately 4,000 square feet and seat about 150 customers. The restaurant — which has several other locations in the Louisville area including one in Floyds Knobs — serves wings, burgers, wraps and the like.

Beef ‘O’ Brady’s is a regional chain which started in Florida in 1985. It has about 250 locations in 22 states. The locations are all franchised, so it’s unclear how many are employed by the chain.

Davania said it will be a family-oriented establishment, possibly with Little League sponsorships and other community activities.

Davania is a Jeffersonville native, who graduated from Jeffersonville High School. He’s also a residential builder locally. This is his first venture into the restaurant business. Boyer, from Louisville, owns Aviation Technologies, which is based out of Louisville International Airport.

The commitment marks the first business announcement at the long-planned retail site on the Jeffersonville side of Veterans Parkway in more than a year.

Business has boomed on the Clarksville side of the parkway.

Davania said he was aware of the previous development issues at the Jeffersonville Town Center.

“For us it’s a fit,” he said. “We’re in there first, so hopefully we’re getting a good deal on the lease.”

In recent months, city officials have said that communication has improved with the site’s developers. The city has also committed help with new roads, stop lights, street lights and a turning lane in the area. That work should take place this summer, as well.
