One person was killed Saturday after a car crashed with an ambulance in Clarksville.
According to newsgathering partner WLKY-32, the crash happened on Lewis and Clark Parkway near the River Falls Mall property.
Indiana State Police said a Clark County ambulance was responding to a call about an unresponsive person when it collided with another car.
“At the intersection of Cedar Street with lights and siren on, they collided with a Lincoln Towncar,” said Indiana State Police Senior Trooper David Scott.
The Lincoln was spun into the southbound lanes before stopping, Scott said. The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene. The two people in the ambulance were not seriously injured.
Investigators are working to determine the cause of the crash and the name of the victim was not immediately released.
