VT Industries growing New Albany operation

By DANIEL SUDDEATH

VT Industries is expanding its operation in New Albany, the company announced Friday.

The stile and rail-door production end of VT Industries — which is headquartered in Holstein, Iowa — will relocate to New Albany, joining its IDEAL door division that’s already located in the city.

“This move is a great opportunity to not only increase production of flush wood doors produced in Holstein, but to increase production of our stile and rail doors and our high-end custom doors manufactured at the IDEAL facility,” stated Jason Farver, vice president of VT Architectural Wood Doors, in a news release.

The release went on to say that VT Industries will be able to significantly increase production capacity of flush doors over the next two years at the New Albany location, which should result in no job cuts from the transition.

VT Industries is the top manufacturer of postformed laminate countertops, architectural wood doors and stone surfaces in North America, the release says.
