Lineup released for Hill’s economic forum

A hospital executive, a work force guru and the president of Duke Energy will be among the panelists for Rep. Baron Hill’s second-annual economic forum at Indiana University Southeast on Friday.

Health care, energy and the economy will be the three talking points for the event, which is open to the public. It will run from 9 to 11:45 a.m. in the Paul W. Ogle Cultural and Community Center. Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m.



Here’s the lineup

• Health care segment: Scott Keefer, vice president of policy development of federal affairs for America’s Health Insurance Plan; Ann Latche, of Service Employees International Union; and June Lyle, of the American Association of Retired Persons. The moderator will be Jim Bickel, president and CEO of Columbus Regional Hospital.

• Economy segment: Joe Craig, general manager of Craig Buick; Ron McKulick, executive director of Workforce Development Associates Inc.; Tracee Lutes, principal broker of Avenues Realty Group; and Ben Mascarello, vice president of operations for Hilex Poly Co. The moderator will be One Southern Indiana President Michael Dalby.

• Energy segment: Conservationist Ray McCormick; Thomas Olson, of the Environmental Defense Fund; and Jim Stanley, president of Duke Energy Indiana. The moderator will be Kyle Forinahs, IUS professor of physics.
