A 20-year-old man has been arrested for attempted murder in the Sept. 3 shooting of 19-year-old Nathaniel Tyrell Lathan in New Albany.

New Albany Police Department detectives arrested Carlos S. Dunn of the 100 block of Trimmington Road. Dunn was charged with class A felony attempted murder after an investigation revealed he was Lathan’s assailant, according to a press release by NAPD.

Lathan was shot walking along the 1300 block of Minton Drive. He is still recovering from his wounds.

Dunn sits in the Floyd County Jail pending his first court appearance. He faces 20 to 50 years in prison and up to a $10,000 fine if convicted.
