New Albany-Floyd County Consolidated School Corporation’s Superintendent Dennis Brooks is one of the co-chairs of the newly formed committee dedicated to transitioning Tony Bennett to his new job as superintendent of public instruction.

The current Greater Clark County Schools superintendent won election for the state seat Nov. 4. He has to take office on or before Jan. 12.

Brooks said he and the team will help bring Bennett up-to-date on issues facing education across the state.

The other co-chair is Sen. Teresa Lubbers, according to Trevor Foughty, official spokesperson for the team.

Foughty said more information on the team will be released in the coming weeks.
