Police seek two suspects in Jeff home invasions

Two incidents likely unrelated, officials say

Police are searching for two suspects in what appear to be two unrelated home invasions in Jeffersonville on Monday, said Larry Thomas, the city’s communication director.

Thomas said one took place at about 11:30 a.m., but he did not know the time of the other home invasion.

Thomas said he had little information about the home invasions and did not know where they occurred, but he said it appeared the suspects were trying to break into homes while people were there.

“There were two suspects and two different vehicles, so the belief was that these were probably not related,” Thomas said. “The investigation is still ongoing, so it could very well turn out that they are [related].”

The first suspect is described as a black male in his 20s. He was seen wearing a Hooters jacket that is only available to employees through the company, Thomas said. He said that does not necessarily mean the suspect is an employee at Hooters, but that the jacket is unique. He was last seen driving a black PT Cruiser.

The second suspect was described as a white male with a shaved head. He was seen driving a Chevy Malibu with a red Chevy emblem.
