Brandon’s House offers Poinsettias for the holidays

Brandon’s House will be selling beautiful poinsettias this year, with several choices of pot colors, with pre-paid order forms needed no later than noon Dec. 2 at Brandon’s House, 1618 Beeler St., New Albany to ensure delivery.

A six-inch foil-covered pot is $10 and can be in red, white, pink, jingle bells (red with splashes of pink), and marble star (peach and white). Poinsettias can be picked up between 1 and 6 p.m. Dec. 10 at Brandon’s House — arriving in plenty of time to use as decorations at your home or office or to give as gifts.

FCHS Student Renaissance hosts Bazaar

The Floyd Central Student Renaissance will host their annual Holiday Bazaar from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 5, at the Floyd Central High School, 6575 Old Vincennes Road, Floyds Knobs.

There will be entertainment, featuring the HHMS Bellringers, dancers, food, shopping and Santa.

The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department is offering free tickets to see Indiana University Southeast vs. St. Catharine College basketball double-header at 6 p.m. for women’s basketball and 8 p.m. for men’s basketball on Tuesday at the IUS Gym, 4201 Grant Line Road, New Albany.

American Legion hosts holiday bazaar

The Sellersburg American Legion Ladies Auxiliary will host a Holiday Shopping Bazaar from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 5 at the American Legion Post 204, 412 N. New Albany St., Sellersburg. 

There will be more than 30 vendors offering a variety of unique gift ideas, crafts, homemade goodies and more. Santa will be their for photos with the kids and the auxiliary will be offering a $4 chicken and dumplings lunch.

There is no admission charge and everyone is welcome.

Sellersburg American Legion Post is implementing a “Blue Star Service Banner.”

While the post would love to provide every family member a banner, limited funds allow only one banner per family residing in the Sellersburg area. Additional banners may be purchased at a very low cost.

Even though U.S. Small Business Administration Disaster Outreach Centers in Clark and Floyd counties have closed, individuals and businesses may still obtain information and loan applications online or by a toll free number.

SBA’s Customer Service Center can be contacted at 800-659-2955 (800-877-8339 for the hearing impaired), Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., or by sending an e-mail to disastercustomerservice@sba.gov.

Business loan applications can also be downloaded from the SBA Web site at sba.gov/services/disasterassistance .

Completed applications should be mailed to: U.S. Small Business Administration, Processing and Disbursement Center, 14925 Kingsport Road, Fort Worth, TX, 76155. The filing deadline to return applications for physical property damage is Jan. 5. The deadline to return economic injury applications is Aug. 6.
