Turkey Day has come and gone, but holiday season has just begun. Here’s a list of events going on this weekend:
New Albany celebration Saturday
Festivities for New Albany’s Holiday Festival will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday with entertainment on the stage at Spring and Pearl streets.
The Scribner House, Carnegie Center for Art and History and the Floyd County Historical Society’s Padgett Museum will be offering free tours. The Culbertson Mansion will offer a holiday tour for $1. Carriage rides will be available to tour downtown. A chili cook-off will take place at the MainSource Bank parking lot on State Street beginning at 2 p.m. with the public invited for samples and to vote for their favorite chili. At the former Treasure Mine Mall location on the corner of Pearl and Spring streets, “Santa’s Mall” will house local artists and businesses selling unique Christmas gifts from 2-7 p.m. There will also be craft projects for children sponsored by MainSource Bank at the mall location. Free toy gifts for the kids will be distributed. Fresh Christmas trees will also be sold at the Downtown Farmer’s Market.
Santa will be at the YMCA from 3 to 5 p.m. for pictures, cookies and drinks. At 6 p.m., he will flip the switch and light up the corner of Pearl and Spring streets.
Christmas in the Country Bazaar
The 29th annual Christmas in the Country Bazaar will be from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. today, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, at the Floyds Knobs Community Club, along Weber Lane in Floyds Knobs.
Follow the green “Bazaar” signs to the event which will include Christmas centerpieces, wreaths, handmade pottery, baskets and soaps, ornaments and other holiday gift items.

Light Up Sellersburg tonight
Light Up Sellersburg will begin at 6 tonight, in downtown Sellersburg with Santa arriving at 6:15 p.m. with treats for all the children. Refreshments and entertainment will also be provided.
Breakfast with Santa at Providence
Our Lady of Providence Junior-Senior High School Alumni Association will host its first annual Breakfast With Santa from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday in the school’s Activity Center, 707 Providence Way, Clarksville.
A continental breakfast will be served. There will be crafts for the kids, a demonstration of SMART Technology, and Alexander Photography Studio will be available to take pictures of your child’s visit with Santa. Donations will be accepted to help St. Elizabeth Catholic Charities and cover food costs.
