• Kendra DeArk (Transylvania softball, Fr.) — DeArk was named to the 2008 all-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference team. She compiled a 6-5 record with a 4.02 earned-run average with 57 strikeouts in 69 2/3 innings. Also, she tossed two shutouts and seven complete games. Offensively, DeArk batted .333 with 26 runs and 17 RBIs. She hit two home runs, two triples and 11 doubles.

• Brad Nickles (IU Southeast baseball, Jeff graduate, Sr.) — vs. Berea, KIAC Tournament in Berea, Ky., May 1, 11-2 win: winning pitcher, 9 IP, 2 R, 2 ER, 4 H, 7 K, 1 BB; vs. Brescia, KIAC Tournament, May 3, 14-0 win: 2-3, 2 R, RBI, 2B; vs. Union, NAIA Region XII Tournament in Kingsport, Tenn., May 7, 6-1 loss: losing pitcher, 7.1 IP, 4 R, 4 ER, 8 H, 2 K, 1 BB; 1-4.
