David P Sands, 53; formerly of New Albany

Funeral services for David P Sands, 53, of Central, formerly of New Albany, will be held at 8 p.m., Wednesday, April 30, at Paul V. Shrader Funeral Home, New Albany. He died Sunday, April 27, 2008 at University Hospital, Louisville.

He was a native of New Albany and a former machinist.

Survivors include his wife, the former Elizabeth Hilt, two sons, Christopher Michael Sands, Louisville and David Brock, Central; three daughters, Marilee Sands, Clarksville, Elizabeath Brock of Arkansas and Christy Hilt, New Albany; stepdaughter, Shana Domec, Central; brother, Michael Sands, New Albany; and 11 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert R. Sands and Mary Hamm Frakes.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m., today, Wednesday, April 30.
