Zona Mae Wilson, 84, New Albany native
Funeral services for Zona Mae Wilson, 84, of Cleveland, Ohio, will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, May 2, at Boyd and Son Funeral Home, 25900 Emery Road, Cleveland, Ohio, with burial in Knollwood Cemetery, Mayfield, Heights, Ohio. She died Monday April 28, 2008, in Cleveland.
She was born April 18, 1924 in New Albany to Rollin and Zenobia Mitchell. She was the second oldest girl of eight brothers and sisters. She married at a young age. She moved to Cleveland in 1956 when she met and married her second husband, James Edward Wilson. She was a housewife who loved to cook. She took great pride in always having a clean house and a beautiful lawn. Her door was always open making everyone who entered feel at home.
Survivors include three children, Vicki, Lynn and Edward; two sisters, Zida Hudson and Marilyn Conley; two sisters-in-law, Kathryn Mitchell and Christine Mitchell; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her second husband, James Edward Wilson; four brothers, Rollin, Robert, Stillman and Welbon and a sister, Zetta.
Visitation at the funeral home will be after 11 a.m. Friday.
