Vera M. ‘Pickup’ Riemer, 87; of Clarksville

Funeral services for Vera M. “Pickup” Riemer, 87, of Clarksville, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 7, at Grace Lutheran Church, 1787 Klerner Lane, New Albany, with burial to follow in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. She died Saturday, May 3, 2008, at Clark Memorial Hospital.

She was a retired secretary, a Navy veteran and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Willoughby, Ohio.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Elmer Riemer and children; Diana Higdon and husband, Brian, Clarksville and Elaine Hirshan and husband, Adam, Concord, N. H. She is also survived by six grandchildren.

Visitation at the church will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday.

Expressions of sympathy in her memory may be made to Grace Lutheran Church, New Albany.

Generations Funeral Home, New Albany, is in charge of arrangements.
