Elston ‘Bud’ Murphy 75; Korean War veteran

Elston “Bud” Murphy, 75, of New Albany, died Tuesday, May 6, 2008, at Veteran’s Hospital, Louisville.

He was a former grocery store owner and an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was born April 3, 1933.

Survivors include his children, Todd Murphy and his wife, Kathy, New Albany and Tammy Welder-Kays and her husband, Tony Kays, Charlestown; and three grandchildren, Sarah Welder and Jarren and Hayden Murphy.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Broadus Murphy.

Private burial will be in New Albany National Cemetery. Cremation was chosen.
