Clarence A. Lloyd, 73; Navy veteran
Funeral services for Clarence A. Lloyd, 73, of Jeffersonville, will be at 7 p.m. Monday, May 12, at Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg, with a military burial service to be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, at the Indiana Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Madison. He died Friday, May 9, 2008, at his home after a long, courageous battle against pancreatic cancer.
He was a veteran of the United States Navy and retired from Sentry Insurance after 26 years.
Survivors include his loving wife, Nancy Bowman Lloyd; a son David Lloyd and his wife Krystina, Canton, Mich.; a daughter, Carol Huff and her husband Mike, Clarksville; grandchildren, Ben, Andrew, Maggie and Emily; sisters, Rosalie Lamping and Anna Pellman Lloyd, Clarksville; brother-in-law, Robert Bowman and wife Deborah, Austin, Texas, (David Bowman, San Antonio, Leah Bowman Mistretti, New York City); sister-in-law Anna Cornwell and husband Ralph, Bermuda Run, N.C.; niece, Linda Lamping (Grace Greenwell, Laura Greenwell), Louisville; niece, Lou Anna Flowers and husband Steve (Sam), Ponca City, Okla.; niece Judy Farhmeier and husband John (Anna, Elizabeth), Cincinnati; nephew Robert Cornwell and wife Marybeth, Davidson, N.C.; nephews Mark Pellman and Bradley Pellman and wife Lisa (Melissa, Gregory), Boulder, Colo.
Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday, May 12, at the funeral home.
The family requests that charitable donations be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Southern Indiana.
