Norman D. Sanders, 77; Naval Reserves veteran
Norman O. Sanders, 77, of New Albany, died Saturday, May 10, 2008, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services. All services will be private.
He was a native of Louisville, a veteran of the Naval Reserves, a member of various Rotary organizations, and the Who’s Who of America. He was the former director of both technical research and commissaries for Kentucky Fried Chicken in Louisville, plant manager for Pillsbury in New Albany, and vice president of Harts Bakeries in Dallas.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Sanders; son, Phillip Sanders and wife Sonia, Floyds Knobs; daughter, Teresa Norton and husband Tom, Brunswick, Ga.; brother, Sidney Sanders and wife Wanda, Louisville; sister, Ramona Dobson, Jeffersonville; granddaughters, Amy, Stephanie, Lehanna, and Zulymar
The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society or The Special Olympics.
Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Rd., New Albany, is in charge of arrangements.
