Taylor Holland Jr., 62; Army veteran
Funeral services for Taylor Holland Jr., 62, of New Albany, will be at 7 p.m. today, Tuesday, May 13, at Kraft Funeral Services, Charlestown Road Chapel, with private burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. He died Saturday, May 10, 2008, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services.
He was a retired conductor with Norfolk-Southern Railroad, was a veteran of the United States Army, having served as a medic during the Vietnam War and was a member of American Legion Bonnie Sloan Post 28 in New Albany. The son of the late Ruth Allen and Taylor Holland, Sr., he was born Aug. 20, 1945 in Seattle.
Survivors include three sons, Terry Holland and wife, Dana, New Salisbury and Troy and Trent Holland, both of New Albany; two sisters, Eunice Thomas of Palmyra and Debbie Kaylor, Indianapolis; a brother, John Holland, Hazard Ky.; and 11 grandchildren, Brittany Holland, Nicole Holland, Timothy Cole Holland, Ciera Holland, Taylor Lee Holland, Alex Reedy, Nick Reedy, Paige Burchett, Danielle Thomas, Emily Holland and Carter Holland.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Tim Holland.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. today.
