— Evelyn Couie, 86; of Lumberton, Texas
Graveside services for Evelyn Couie, 86, of Lumberton, Texas, will be at 1 p.m., Wednesday, May 14, at Zavalla Cemetery, Zavalla, Texas. She died Sunday, May 11, 2008 at home surrounded by her family.
She was a native of New Albany and a resident of Lumberton, Texas since 1958.
Survivors include her daughter, Charlene Muirhead and husband, David, Lumberton, Texas; grandchildren, Sheryl Tullier and husband, Paul, Jasper, Texas, Michael Darby and his wife, Christi, Sour Lake, Texas and Kristi Darby of Houston; and great-grandchildren, Katie Darby, Chip Darby, Cain Draper, Coy Draper and Cayce Draper.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mickey Couie, on Aug. 11, 1998.
A gathering of family and friends will take place at Broussard’s Morturary, 1605 North Major Dr., Beaumont, Texas at 4 p.m., Tuesday, May 13.
