Lester P. Dahmer, 68; Army veteran

Funeral services for Lester P. Dahmer, 68, of Clarksville, will be at 11 a.m. Friday, May 16, at Chapman Funeral Home, with burial in Walker Cemetery, Branchville. He died Monday, May 12, 2008, at University of Louisville Hospital.

He was born in Franklin, W. Va., and was a retired maintenance millwright for I.C.I. and also a retired maintenance worker for Clarksville Community Schools. He was an honorably discharged Army veteran, a member of Branchville Masonic Lodge 496, Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis, Indianapolis Shrine Club, Order of Eastern Star 327 Jeffersonville, Hobart Beach VFW in New Albany, and the Church of Christ in Harrisonburg, W. Va.

Survivors include his wife, Adah Keilman Dahmer; daughter, Sheila Ann Baugh and husband, Robert, Clarksville; and sister, Mary Susan McDorman, Dayton, Va.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John E. and Ola Simmons Dahmer; four brothers, Curtis, Robert, Denver and John Lee Dahmer; and a sister, Sarah Crawford.

Visitation at the funeral home will be from 2 to 8 p.m., Thursday, May 15 and after 9 a.m. Friday.
