Frances E. ‘Eddie’ Long Lankert, 79; of Clarksville
Funeral Mass for Frances E. “Eddie” Long Lankert, 79, of Clarksville, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 16, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Clarksville, with entombment in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. She died Sunday, May 11, 2008, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services.
She was a medical executive secretary for a neurosurgeon for many years and a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Clarksville. She was born Nov. 16, 1928, in St. Joseph, Ky., to the late Judge Executive of Daviess County, J. Everett, and Mary Bessie Thompson Long Warren.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Norman E. Lankert; children, Cindy Andres and her husband, Ron, of Floyds Knobs, Michael Lankert and his wife, Jackie, of Sellersburg, Tish Tindall and her husband, Glenn, of Campbellsburg, Ky., David Lankert and his wife, Sharon, of Plano, Texas and Mindy Ernstberger and her husband, Jerry, of Sellersburg; brother, Jim Long and his wife, Margaret Ann, of Oklahoma City, Okla.; sisters, Loyce Kluck and Joyce Kluck of Stevens Point, Wis.; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Lori Price, Jane Sullivan, Patricia Brown and Mary Helen Long and a brother, William Long.
Visitation at Generations Funeral Home, 3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, Wednesday, May 14 and noon to 8 p.m. Thursday. A prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy in her memory may be made to Our Lady of Providence Junior Senior High School or Gibault School for Boys in Terre Haute.
