Mabel B. Brock, 87; of Underwood

Funeral services for Mabel B. Brock, 87, of Underwood, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 17, at R.D. Pyke Funeral Service, Henryville, with burial at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Henryville. She died Tuesday, May 13, 2008, at Clark Memorial Hospital, Jeffersonville.

She was born March 9, 1921, in Clark County to the late Herman Zollman and Ethel Thompson Zollman. She was a member of Mt. Moriah Christian Church, Henryville. She attended Underwood Baptist Church, was a homemaker and was president of the ladies auxillary for several years for the Underwood Volunteer Fire Department.

Survivors include her daughter, Janet S. Brock Lamb and husband, Karlyn, Underwood; sons, Donald Ray Brock and wife, Betty Jane, Underwood, Charles A. Brock and wife, Wilma, Scottsburg, and George Randall Brock and wife, Louise, Underwood; sisters, Ruth Lewellen, Henryville, and Sylvia Schlechty, Charlestown; brother, James Zollman, Otisco; 15 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and a multitude of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Henry Brock, who died July 16, 1984; her parents; and a son, Marlin Brock.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 16.
