— Alice Jane Short Dugan, 63; formerly of Speed
A memorial service for Alice Jane Short Dugan, 63, of Belleair Bluffs, Fla., formerly of Speed, will be at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, at Hospice House Woodside, 6770 102nd Ave., Pinellas Park, Fla., with a future memorial service to be announced in Southern Indiana for those unable to attend the Florida service. She died May 11, 2008 at Hospice House Woodside after a battle with cancer.
Known as “Jane” to family and friends, she was born in Speed and moved to Florida in 2001. She worked for many years at the Census Bureau in Jeffersonville and for the auto emmission testing facility in Clarksville. Most recently she was employed by PODS, Inc. of Clearwater, Florida as a customer service represtative.
Survivors include her sister, Mary Short, Belleair Bluffs, Fla.; neices, Jessica Short House, Belleair Bluffs, Fla., Elizabeth Short and Janet Short Hopkins, both of Doyles-town, Ohio; grand-neice, Katie House; and grand-nephew, David Hopkins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Dugan.
Cremation was chosen.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the local Hospice Foundation.
