Wesley Louis Thomas, 65; Jeffersonville
Funeral services for Wesley Louis Thomas, 65, of Jeffersonville, will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, July 5, at Scott Funeral Home’s North Chapel, with burial Tuesday, July 8, at Oak Grove Cemetery, Delaware, Ohio. He died Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at the Norton Hospice Unit, Louisville.
He was born in Columbus, Ohio. He was a retired operations manager for Borden Chemical where he worked in Columbus, Ohio, Geismar, La., and Louisville. Most recently he worked for H & R Block in Jeffersonville. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Columbus, Ohio, the Coast Guard Auxiliary in Columbus, Ohio, the National Guard, and the Clark County Conservation Club. He graduated from West High School in Columbus, Ohio, and attended Ohio State University. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Franklin University in Columbus, Ohio. He enjoyed fishing in the Louisiana Bayous, spending time with family and boating the Ohio River.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Landrum; brother, Joseph P. Thomas and his wife, Sharon, Powell, Ohio; sister, Shari Morris and her husband, Mark, Columbus, Ohio; and a host of nephews and two stepchildren.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 5.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Leukemia Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
