Marian J. Ragland, 79; of Clarksville

Funeral services for Marian J. Ragland, 79, of Clarksville, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 8, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Clarksville, with burial in New Albany National Cemetery. She died Friday, July 4, 2008, at her home.

She was a native of Louisville, a homemaker and a member of the Women of the Moose Lodge Chapter 499 of Brandenburg, Ky.

Survivors include her sons, John G. Ragland and his wife, Linda, Loda, Ill., Gary L. Ragland and his wife, Cindy, Clarksville, Larry R. Ragland and his wife, Terri, Georgetown, and Daniel L. Ragland, Sellersburg; her daughters, Donna Williams, Brandenburg, Ky., Sharon A. Bishop, Clarksville, Deborah R. Raymond and her husband, Joe, Louisville, Janice M. Estep and her husband, Jim, Clarksville, and Patricia A. Humphrey and her husband, Raymond, New Albany; 29 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John G. Ragland Sr.; and a son, Michael T. “Pic” Ragland.

Visitation at Chapman Funeral Home wil be from 1 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 7.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Hosparus of Southern Indiana.
