Wilma C. Haendiges Tyler, 83; of New Albany

Funeral services for Wilma C. Haendiges Tyler, 83, of New Albany, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 10, at the Kraft Funeral Services, Charlestown Road Chapel, with interment at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. She died Monday, July 7, 2008, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services.

She was a devoted wife for more than 59 years, and was a loving homemaker, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a native of New Albany.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years, James L. Tyler; children, Edward W. Tyler and wife, Christine, Avon and James R. Tyler and wife, Carol, Charles-town; grandchildren, Ketra, Derrik, Aaron and Donnelly; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, William Haendiges.

Visitation at the funeral home will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 9.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Hospice & Pallative Care of Southern Indiana.
