John L. “Larry” Dougherty III

John L. ‘Larry’ Dougherty III, 71; native of Jeffersonville

Funeral services for John L. “Larry” Dougherty III, 71, of Seymour, Tenn., will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, at the Market Street Chapel of Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville. Funeral Homes, with entombment will be in Kraft- Graceland Memorial Park. He died Monday, Aug. 4, 2008, at his home.

He was a native of Jeffersonville and a former resident of New Albany. He was a 1955 graduate of New Albany High School and was retired from G.E. in Louisville as a supplier specialist.

Survivors include a son, Brent Dougherty and wife, Becky, Seymour, Tenn.; a daughter, Allyson Hoffman and husband, Michael, Bradenton, Fla.; and grandchildren, M. Ryan Hoffman, Samuel J. Hoffman, Lauren E. Dougherty and Kristen E. Dougherty.

Visitation at the funeral home will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 8.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church Mission, 3508 Wildwood Road, Maryville, Tenn., 37804.
