Larry E. Henriksen, 72; Floyds Knobs resident

Funeral services for Larry E. Henriksen will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 8, at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, with burial to follow at Tunnel Hill Cemetery. He died Friday, Sept. 5, 2008, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services.

He was a retired salesman for Northern Star Minerals in New Albany. He was a Marine Corps veteran, attended Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa, and was a member of the Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife of nearly 50 years, Mary Ellen Els Henriksen; a son, Steven Douglas Henriksen; a daughter, Lisa Henriksen Schwarzentraub and her husband Rick; two granddaughters, Abby and Lauren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Laurence and Christine Henriksen; two sisters, Agnus Lee and Johanna Sorenson.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today, Sept. 7, at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Georgetown.
