Robert L. Johnson, 70; Army Reserves veteran
Robert L. Johnson, 70, of Sellersburg, died Friday, Oct. 3, 2008, at Kindred Hospital in Louisville.
He was a retired owner of Proudbird Aircraft Interiors, a veteran of the Army Reserves, a pilot with Quiet Birdman, and Admiral of the Cherry River Navy of West Virginia, a Kentucky Colonel, a Kentucky Commodore, a booster with the Flying Fezzes, an admiral of the Fleet of Pleasure Boats and an honorary captain of the Belle of Louisville.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Johnson; daughter, Kathy Norton and her husband John, Corydon; brother, James Johnson and his wife Frances, Lewisville, N.C.; three grandchildren, Christopher, Sarah and Jonathan.
Cremation was chosen with a celebration of life to be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions can take the form of donations to the Clark County Humane Society.
