Kenneth Harold Worrell
Kenneth Harold Worrell, 93; of Jeffersonville
Funeral services for Kenneth Harold Worrell, 93, of Jeffersonville, will be 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 12, at Norman Funeral Home, in Hope, with burial in Hope Moranian Cemetery. He died Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2008, at his home.
He was a retired school bus mechanic for Greater Clark County Schools. He was a member of Walnut Street Baptist Church in Louisville and taught Sunday school for many years. Born Oct. 22, 1914 in Orleans, he was the son of Glenn Oliver and Gail Louise Foutch Worrell. He graduated from Hope High School in 1931. He married Rita Nelle Minor Sept. 7, 1940, in Columbus.
Survivors include his wife; Rita Worrell; daughter, Karen L. Worrell Weber and her husband, George, Jeffersonville; son, Thomas C. Worrell and wife, Pi, Louisiana; sister, Ruth Harker, Flat Rock; brother, Bob Worrell, Knoxville, Tenn.; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Steve M. Worrell; sisters, Marge Simmons and Mildred McNeely; and brothers, Glenn Worrell Jr. and Don Worrell.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday.
The family wishes to give a special thanks to the caregivers of Hosparus - Hospice of Southern Indiana.
