Democrats pick Dan Moore for Clark County Circuit Court

By MELISSA MOODY

Attorney Dan Moore, who also serves as the attorney for the Clark County Commissioners, was selected to run for the Circuit Court Judge seat at the Democratic Caucus Tuesday. Moore will run against Judge Abe Navarro, a Republican recently appointed by Gov. Mitch Daniels after the retirement of Judge Daniel Donahue.

“I’m naturally gratified - it’s a great vote of confidence,” Moore said. “I look forward to a good race on the issues — I really believe these judicial races should be focused on the issues and not on the person.

“We have to modernize our systems a little bit, we need to get out in the community more, and we need to do some education, particularly with the young people, especially in prevention and education.”

Moore ran in the primary election for Superior Court 3, but was beaten by Jerry Jacobi. The Circuit Court Judge position will be decided in the fall.
