About 100 people braved the chilly weather Tuesday morning to make videos and snap pictures as a 27-foot gold cross was installed over the main entrance of the Southeast Christian Church Indiana campus.
Church officials expect to hold the first service at the Southern Indiana location, off U.S. 31, just a few steps inside the Jeffersonville city limits, on April 12 — which is Easter Sunday.
Louisville-based Southeast Christian boasts 20,000 members at its main campus across the Ohio River along Blankenbaker Parkway. And Rusty Russell — who will be pastor at the Southern Indiana location — said about 1,000 of those members are from Southern Indiana.
