This stone tells a story

S. Ellen Jones Elementary teacher Mickey Hicks, surrounded by fourth- and fifth-graders, discusses the gravestone of a woman who died in 1861 on Wednesday morning at Freedomland Cemetery, located along Paoli Pike in New Albany. The cemetery is on of the oldest black cemeteries in Indiana.
