IUS ROUNDUP: Grenadier women suffer home loss to Campbellsville

Despite shooting 52 percent from the field, the Indiana University Southeast women’s basketball team dropped below the .500 mark at the Southeast Activities Building on Saturday with an 80-76 loss to Campbellsville.
Freshman Whitney Duncan led the Grenadiers (10-11) with game highs in points (18) and steals (four). She also grabbed a team-high six rebounds.
Three other IUS players scored in double figures, who were Tiffiani Slaughter (15), Andrea Chambers (13) and Brittany Caple (10). Caple also had six rebounds, while Chambers had a team-high six assists.
The Grenadiers will travel to Midway on Thursday.
• Grenadier men’s team prevail at Berea: The IU Southeast men’s basketball team shot 52 percent from 3-point range (14-of-27) to defeat host Berea, 86-69.
IUS (13-8, 3-0 Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) outrebounded the Mountaineers, 44-37. No individual Grenadier statistics were available at press time.
IUS has won five of its last six games and will host IU East on Thursday.
