Six members of the Indiana University Southeast men’s basketball team scored in double figures on Saturday in their 100-72 road victory over Asbury.
New Albany graduate Derick Hobbs paced the Grenadiers (19-8, 6-0 Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) with a game-high 21 points. The sophomore shot 9-of-16 from the field and 3-of-7 from 3-point range. He also had three assists.
IU Southeast freshman Jazzmarr Ferguson had 18 points, a game-high five assists and two steals. The four other Grenadiers in double digits were Alex Gravelle (13), New Albany grad Craig Bryant (11), Carlos Mitchell (11) and Charlie Gonzalez (10).
Gonzalez had a game-high 12 rebounds, while Gravelle and Mitchell had five and four assists, respectively. Mitchell also had three steals and teammate DeJon Gary had game highs in assists (five) and steals (five).
The Grenadiers have won seven games in a row, and they have scored 100-plus points five times this year.
IU Southeast will visit IU East on Wednesday.
